Astrid Van Nevel is a photographer based in Antwerp. Her work, www.thegoldenthirteen.com, is intimate, and attentive to texture and fleeting expressions. “A moment of change that made me grow as a person was moving back to Belgium after ten years abroad,” Astrid explains. “It was very significant in my life.”

“Change comes to us when we least expect it, but we must embrace it. I love this collection because it’s a reminder of how we evolve.”

Reflective returns
For Astrid, returning to Antwerp signalled another step in her evolution. “It wasn’t a change I was necessarily looking forward to, but looking back I think I really grew,” she reflects. The change of scene transformed her too. “I could reconnect with my past self, it made me reevaluate my life up until that point.”
Shimmering evolution
Astrid looks radiant in our Metamorphosis collection. “That’s why I really love this jewellery, because it’s a reminder that it’s part of our lives to constantly evolve as people, and we should embrace it,” she explains. “It’s a reminder of how we grow.”
