The inspiration

The inspiration

Let it burn

Mythology and art show the phoenix as a mark of rebirth and renewal. Egyptians accepted it as their sun God Ra who flew to the city of Heliopolis, city of the sun. Gathering spices for its nest as it landed, the sun set its roost on fire and burned the phoenix in flames. From the ashes, the bird resurrected and began a new five-hundred-year life cycle.
